Rising from the ashes of The Coltranes to continue the mythology surrounding the White Hag and Dog Hill, Spyroids come out of nowhere with 4 tracks of deranged synth-punk that's unlike anything I've heard recently. Delirious synths and displaced video game samples overtop simple 808 drums create a nightmare-inducing backdrop to Spencer's iconic, maniacal vocals. Equal parts fascinating, unsettling, and fun, just like your favorite off-kilter horror movies, Spyroids deliver a genuine vibe and attitude that's difficult to look away from.
